Lecture on “Performance City” for the Faculty of Built Environment of UoM

During a design workshop for the BSc Studio 'Performance City' for students of the Faculty for the Built Environment - University of Malta, students were invited to a lecture led by our Executive Director, David Felice. As the former chairman of the Valletta 2018 Foundation, which successfully secured Valletta's bid for the title of European Capital of Culture in 2018, David took his audience through some of the key elements of which Valletta’s bid was made up of. He then showcased a number of more recent projects of AP Valletta, mostly at research and concept stage, demonstrating how innovation and change can improve the quality of the cultural landscape of the islands.

Students also gained insights from our Director of Research, Guillaume Dreyfuss, who presented and guided on site, one of the most important restoration projects entrusted to our office: the Manoel Theatre in Valletta.

Many thanks to Peter Brincat - old APer-, Alex Spiteri and Anthony Bonnici for suggesting the workshop and collaboration between students and AP!
