AP Valletta is looking for a highly motivated, hands-on and enthusiastic person to join its international team as an Architect.

The successful candidate will be a talented architect with a minimum of 6 years of job experience and strong design leadership skills. She/he will be conversant with architectural and construction drawings and have an aptitude or interest to work at all project stages, and in particular at concept design stage. She/he will work on a variety of projects, independently or within a team. She/he will have excellent communication skills and enjoy working in a flexible and stimulating environment. The ideal candidate will take on a full-time role and will be welcomed in our studio in Valletta.

Requirements:

  • Master’s degree in Architecture.
  • Min. 6 years post-graduate work experience in Architecture; the criteria for selection will prioritise skill set and aptitude, not necessarily experience.
  • Experience working across a range of project scales, including large-scale residential, commercial, or public commissions.
  • Demonstrated participation in architectural competitions or design exhibitions.
  • Sensitivity to heritage contexts and experience working within or adjacent to conservation or cultural heritage frameworks is considered an asset.
  • Experience coordinating with other engineering disciplines and leading design teams across project phases.
  • A passion for design, enthusiasm and self-motivation with a strong work ethic.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical and graphic skills.
  • Proficiency in verbal and written communication in English. Any other language is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in the use of AutoCAD, Revit, Adobe Suite and BIM workflows.
  • Knowledge of Rhino is considered an asset.
