On Friday, 17th April, Malta University Press officially launched ‘The Future of Paceville’, a new publication edited by Dr Elise Billiard Pisani and Prof Reuben Grima.
The book includes a chapter by AP Valletta Director of Practice and Partner, Jacques Borg Barthet, entitled ‘Paceville: Parties, Planning and the Public Interest.’
The Malta University Press describes the publication as “A book for those who believe that the destruction of urban common spaces is an attack against democracy, as it leads to a dramatic reduction of rights. In particular, the articles here trace the genesis of an urban oddity in the Maltese context which has become the model and testing ground for a new vision of its future…the collection of articles has an unusually long history; first drafted ten years ago, they have been enriched with constant and recent analysis.”
