AP Valletta has been awarded two Special Commendations at the MASP Awards 2024.
In the Commercial and Public Buildings category, the GO Technical Centre was commended for its “innovative, pixellated, two-layered brise-soleil system” that integrates Building Integrated Photovoltaic (BIPV) facades. The jury highlighted how this modular system “blends environmental functionality with design” and reflects the company’s technological identity while optimising daylight and thermal performance.
In the Rehabilitation and Conservation category, Naxxar House was recognised for its “unique crafted stone screen” designed to shield the refurbished 18th-century palazzino from nearby high-rise developments. The jury noted how the “undulating fins filter natural light and create dynamic shadow patterns,” balancing privacy, light, and respect for the site’s historic character.
