Naxxar House by AP Valletta receives a High Commendation at the World Architecture Festival 2025

AP Valletta's Naxxar House was shortlisted as a finalist at the World Architecture Festival 2025 under the Best Use of Stone Prize category and received a High Commendation in the Completed Buildings – House and Villa (Rural & Coastal) category. Both of which are prestigious recognitions celebrating projects that go beyond category excellence, rewarding outstanding use of materials and pioneering design approaches.

The World Architecture Festival is one of the most important and largest global events celebrating architectural excellence. It is a three-day gathering where architects, designers, and industry leaders from around the world come together to showcase, critique, and celebrate the best in architecture and interior design. Every year, the Festival is hosted in a different international city. This year’s edition was held in Miami from 12–14 November.

Naxxar House is a sensitive restoration and extension to a historic 18th-century palazzino. Located in the village of Naxxar, the project merges centuries-old limestone structures with contemporary interventions, preserving the building's character while introducing a refined spatial clarity and enabling modern living.
