The presentation, entitled "Where Culture Meets Climate; Future Prospects of the Realty Sector in Malta and the Central Mediterranean", was set within a geographical and strategic context and dealt with how culture and climate resilience are shaping the next wave of real estate value in Malta. It described Malta’s new Cultural Infrastructure, Building in Response to Climate, and provided insight into the Realty Sector, Property Market Data, the Construction Cost Index and future prospects for the market, including an opinion on Malta's Vision for 2050 and plans for the regeneration of the Grand Harbour. It also provided a comparative snapshot of case studies in Malta and Sicily.
The guests were also addressed by Joseph Portelli, Chairman, Malta Stock Exchange; Dr Bernice Buttigieg, Chief Strategy Officer, FinanceMalta; Brian Camilleri, Chief Officer – Economic Intelligence & EU Affairs at Malta Enterprise; Dr Clare Farrugia, Head – Strategy, Policy & Innovation and Gerd Sapiano, Deputy Head – Strategy, Policy & Innovation, MFSA; Dr Elena Grima Tortell, Senior Associate, Deloitte Legal; Dr Ramona Piscopo, CEO of a Malta-based family office. The event was held at The Malta Stock Exchange, which was designed by AP Valletta and completed in 2001.
