New project for AP in the South of France

AP Valletta has been shortlisted, in collaboration with FLUOR Architects, to design a new museum in Saint-Gilles-du-Gard in Provence, France, which will treasure archaeological, ethnographic, and natural history collections.

Founded in 1240 by Louis IX, Saint-Gilles has served as the westernmost port of the reign for centuries. The village hosts the tomb of Saint Egide, from which it takes its name, and therefore was one of the most important pilgrimage destinations in XII century.

The new museum will be located right close to the Abbey, heart of the Provencal village, replacing the dilapidated dwellings currently adjoining the Abbey, within the old cloister and aiming at becoming a new cultural centre for the area. More info coming soon!
