The new Caravaggio Centre, located within the historic St John’s Co-Cathedral and forming part of one of the most important museums on the island, is officially launched!
The Centre, which is spread over two levels, offers a journey through the life and artistry of Caravaggio, exploring his revolutionary techniques, frantic life, and enduring legacy. Visitors may witness the St. Jeromy Writing, watch a brief audiovisual documentary that narrates the artist’s life, career, artistic achievements and production during his stay in Malta, and come Face-To-Face, through life-size projections, with Caravaggio’s The Beheading.
