A design proposal for the refurbishment and connection of two adjacent buildings along the Gzira-Sliema promenade to be turned into new offices. The proposal combines energy efficiency to quality design.

AP is working on the rehabilitation and extension of the most important museum on the island. Besides restoring and reusing the neglected and underutilised historical spaces annexed to the Cathedral, we designed an extension like a monumental reliquary to house a very precious set of tapestries.

There is no building in Malta more symbolic of the presence of the British on the island than St Paul's pro-Cathedral. Its elegant steeple is the most iconic element on the Valletta skyline, a lofty needle piercing the Mediterranean sky.

As Associate Architects with Renzo Piano Building Workshop, AP took care of the regeneration project of the main entrance of Valletta: the gate, the new house of Parliament and the restoration of the ruins of the old Opera House, which was turned into an open air theatre.

This twenty storey high panoramic lift, commissioned by the Grand Harbour Regeneration Corporation plc and designed by AP, is located on the edge of Malta’s historic fortified capital city of Valletta.

The project provides an environment suited to the brewing of Farsons’ renowned products the whole building no more than a container for the brewing process, housing its plant and equipment, iconic brewing tuns, and all necessary stores, silos and fermentation vessels.

The outstanding views of the Grand Harbour, which penetrate every room of this prestigious old property on St. Barbara’s bastion, determined the neutral materiality and tones that are the basis of this rehabilitation project.

Large domed spaces are flanked by meandering arcades dividing the vehicular routes from large pedestrian walkways over the Terengganu River.
